1936 Ford Convertible…..SOLD!

The roomy 4-door convertible sedan makes a great family car, this beautiful custom rod is from a small and very well cared-for private collection. The only convertible sedan known to survive with the rare 4-taillight option, this all-steel body was still in excellent condition prior to the restoration, and flaws that needed addressing were handled with the time-honored technique of picking and filing, a time consuming and expensive method practiced by the best craftsman to keep filler to a minimum. As a result, the deep Black finish has a mirror-like quality that must be seen to be appreciated. That same commitment to excellence is in evidence throughout; for instance, the hand-crafted Maroon leather upholstery used on the seats and interior panels remains tight as a drum and shows masterful stitching and fit,an elegant Black fabric convertible top. The louvered hood opens to reveal a fully dressed Chevrolet 350 CI small block backed by a Lokar-shifter, 350 Turbo Hydra-Matic transmission and the ever dependable Ford 9-inch third member. Easy to drive with power steering, disc and drum brakes with Heidt’s independent front end. Car sits on staggered-size rubber on Red painted steelies with bright trim finish off this excellent vintage Ford.
